Professional Training Course

This professional training course is a program designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to enhance your professional development and improve your job performance.

It will cover a wide range of topics, from technical skills such as wearable flowers; contemporary bridal bouquets; ceremony flowers; architectural designs; table florals to soft skills such as marketing, leadership, client communication, cost calculations or teamwork. Most classes will be in-person, but some can be followed online.

The goal of this professional training course is to help you acquire new knowledge and skills that will enable you to excel as a florist, stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field, and advance your career. Once you’ve completed this course you will receive a certificate of participation of 200hr.

Personal flowers for a wedding: wearable flowers such as boutonnieres, wrist corsages & headpieces.

Understanding the mechanics behind arches and hanging installations

Creating the concept and drawing your ceremony design (I use procreate)

This is your final project where you will prepare a project from start to finish including but not limited to:

Gathering information; Cost calculation; Create your proposal

Pinpoint possible difficulties and find solutions/alternatives

Understand which other vendors are part of your work as a florist

Finalize the project with your client

Create a mood-board, timeline and floral order

Block 6 | Communication | 12 hours | €300

How to get the necessary information from clients.

Write an appropriate introduction email to clients.

Prepare a floral offer.

Translate your project/proposal into a functional yet beautiful mood-board.

Create a working timeline for the wedding weekend.

Work experience placement | 100 hours

After you’ve completed the first 100 hours of the training, it is possible to gain practical experience in our company or that of other florists during the wedding season. Each wedding requires approximately 20 hours of your time spread over 2-3 days. Weddings are often on the weekends, but may also be booked during the week and the season runs roughly from May through to October. This is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop the skills learned throughout the course. It will provide you with networking opportunities within the industry, and potentially discovering whether floristry is a career path you truly wish to pursue. Please note that this placement is unpaid.
